Dawson City to Whitehorse..
(..for questioning minds... So says our waitress this morning at breakfast..... The name Whitehorse came from the rapids that use to be in that part of the Yukon River... so wild they looked like white horses racing.)
Larry and I were up early... rolled the bikes out of the camping/hostel area and down to the ferry ... Mark said he'd sleep in - probably just wanted that cold bucket of rain water all to himself for a leisurely bath. Brrrrr!
We stopped in at the Tasty Byte for a failed attempt at uploading - but then went to the dome and around town a little before meeting Mark about 11:00 AM and then heading to Whitehorse.
Our ferry.....
The confluence of the Klondike and Yukon rivers... and the lovely town of Dawson. Notice how dark the Klondike is compared to the Yukon... it is the tiny strip of dark water next to the milk chocolate Yukon.
Packing up and leaving Dawson..
Riding south along Fox Lake...
It was a beautiful ride. We stayed in the Airport Chalet .....
