  1. YAY!! more awesome photos & sharing. I did just pick up on one cool thing. I see that Lar is donning a helmet cam in one of the photos so between he & Mark I can't wait to see some video footage! Lois & I just recently went through the vids I shot in Montana last year (I haven't done any editing yet)and we were reminded of how amazingly beautiful our rides were out there! Enjoy!

  2. So, did you see the views? You did not have to imagine the mountains this time... And what is like to ride on Going to the Sun road without rain? Still looks like a lot of snow.

So, what happened with the Chinese guy on the KLR?

  3. John & Colin, We intended to do the pass on the way out but it was still closed. Glad that we had the opportunity on our return trip. It is definitely a unique riding experience... There was a still a fair amount of fog, construction, and bumper to bumper traffic. We had come to a complete halt - I said to Larry, 'I bet there is something really great about a 1/2 mile up' .... as we neared the spot with folks lined up with cameras Larry looked at me and informed.. "Unless this is Big Foot we're not stopping." A moose. Didn't stop but we've gotten quite skilled at ride and shoot photography. The Highway to the Sun is still well worth the trip. Like many rides - I expect it is different every time you go.

Rod - Yep, Scott and Lindsey gave us a helmet cam. My little netbook can't quite handle processing the video so we'll have to edit and publish when we get home. love you.
