July 24 Hyder AK to Burns Lake B.C.

We started the day with coffee and a muffin where all the locals hang out - got the tip at dinner last night from John who maintains the town roads.....

It was raining lightly as we headed for Alaska once again.

...and we entered Hyder --- didn't get hyderized... famous in the community, a 180 proof shot... (apparently you get a certificate and everything)

We were disappointed - no salmon, no bear catching salmon.....
But, once back in BC we were treated with quite a show staring momma bear and her two cubs.

Lunch in Kitwanga with a view of the river ...  and then oiled our chains since we had a break in the rain, before heading out.
