Not exactly the wild north....
Well that was harder than one might think..... However, Larry will have a reliable new KLR for the remainder of our adventure!
We kept our cool new tires/engine guards/seat/etc... which required a fair amount of work on the new bike. While Larry was on the phone and I was working on paperwork Mark started the work on the two bikes.
The work lasted for several hours...
We're waiting for the overnight UPS paperwork to arrive.... hoping that happens before noon tomorrow. We'll have to see when we get on the road and how that impacts our route and daily mileage.
For today....Miles: We moved from room 129 to room 125 at the Kalispell EconoLodge
Bummer about the KLR .....but hey I like your new KLR! You must be surely chasing all the gremlins away by now. L an J will be doing their own planning this weekend. Best of luck always and thanks for the updates J
ReplyDeleteJohn... We traded the old KLR in for a 2011 model. The 'used' KLR we were looking at was exactly like mine. The the owner had been using/abusing it for 1500 miles (he added skid plate and engine guards so you know he wasn't just riding it back and forth to work) "..people can't believe what I can do with that thing" He was asking for $700 more than I got mine for off the showroom floor. In for a penny,in for a pound.. got the new bike.
ReplyDeleteWell that pretty much stinks about Lar's KLR but I'm glad you were mindful of it and have found a solution! It's never as easy as it ought to be! Love the pics and dialog sis and truly appreciate the updates as you guys are often on my mind! xo
ReplyDeleteI've been trying to post a comment on & off for two days and something about my IE browser kept putting me in a loop of signing in to google and entering the anti non-human code script. I finally used firefox and managed to get in.! Keep the news coming when you can! :-)
ReplyDelete@Jim -- Great! Are you guys heading down the Blue Ridge? Look forward to hearing about your ride. :-) (...keeping your bouncy things positioned correctly and all)
